My journey in health care started off as a nerdy middle school student eager to compete in Science Fairs and continued into my undergraduate studies with a focus on a career in medicine. It wasn’t until my second year in college that I understood healthcare. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, an auto-immune disease that impacts the nervous system, my new focus became figuring out how to make the healthcare system work in my favor. From attending countless doctor appointments and lab diagnostics to researching and experimenting with alternative therapies to seeking community in the Wellness space, better was the goal.

I now aim to do that for others.

- Centering patient voices and experiences by developing a qualitative research project at a safety net health system in Chicago

- Working with companies to create a digital space for their employees to elect health insurance

- Starting this blog to connect people at the margins of healthcare with the innovations and trends occurring in the care ecosystem
